Larry Paul's Views on Selling My dear friend, the Boulder novelist, Janis Hallowell, has defined art as, "shit that is hard to sell." You'll have to excuse the profanity - that's how writers talk. Indeed, I love the making of art, but the selling of it is something I undertake only when the accumulation of finished work threatens to run us out of house and home. As a young musician, I used to love to tour and play at clubs as much as possible, but now the thrill has diminished to the point where a few dates a month are more than enough. Likewise, the prospect of participating in the year-round fair circuit with my ceramic art, no longer has the allure that it once had. I've gotten too old for the schlep. So, my hope is that presenting my work on the internet will attract attention of people who enjoy selling, and free up my time and energy to devote to my studio. All of you gallery owners, interior decorators, landscape architects--please contact me, I'll be really easy to work with. Larry Paul Wright, artist in clay
